The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible to establish and lead the Supply Chain team. The incumbent is responsible to ensure the overall cGMP compliance with warehouse related operations and respective in-country Good Distribution Practices (GDP), driving proactive continuous improvement efforts. He/she will be responsible to ensure the successful set up of logistic network and toolbox in assigned regions for execution of clinical trials to support early phase clinical trial programs. As a member of the GMP Site Operations Leadership Team and he/ she will partner with all functions to achieve the site's Business Objectives
Key Responsibilities
Lead the overall Hilleman supply chain functional strategies and deployment of supply chain related systems, processes and services based on business needs.
Define material supply related strategies and ensure transportation process and vendor performance complies with internal Hilleman’s requirements and respective local and international regulations.
Establish, own, and maintain strong relationships with the external suppliers/vendors portfolio with the goal to drive for continuous value creation; manage any escalation process for deliveries and returns related to defects.
Develops overall Supply Chain functional budget, manage expenditures to ensure adherence to budget. Continuously seek for opportunities for efficiencies.
Leads the efforts to support supply chain related business continuity activities.
Responsible for life cycle management of suppliers/service providers from initial selection, evaluation, approval, routine periodic monitoring activities to inactivation activities.
Accountable for monitoring of logistics network and vendor performance using appropriate key performance indicators.
Build and optimise internal Hilleman’s warehouse and inventory management capabilities in a safe and compliant manner.
Partners closely with production to ensure robustness pertaining to raw materials planning, procurement, and prioritization with the goal to minimize any scrap materials.
Lead the establishments of planning standards for raw materials based on criticality and lead times.
Support continuous improvement efforts by embracing digital technology solutions that will improve Hilleman’s effectiveness, efficiencies, and agilities.
Prepare and represent the site as Supply Chain lead on regulatory inspection and audit.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in science, engineering or other related technical field, and extensive practical experience therein.
Requires 10-12 years in supply chain operations within the pharmaceutical industry (preferably vaccines or biologics industry).
At least 3-4 years of managerial experiences; coaching and developing direct reports.
Preferred Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
Extensive working experiences in GMP and GDP environment related to warehousing and logistics operations management.
Well verse in SAP system, planning system or any related warehouse data management system.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills with excellent project management skills
Experienced in leading and managing impactful Supply Chain related set-up/implementation projects
Strong team player that is able to work effectively with cross functional team members.
